Offering your courses for free in the Enrolkart Marketplace is a way for instructors to try teaching on our platform, help build a student audience and test demand for a topic. It is also another way for instructors to get student feedback on their teaching methods.

This article includes answers to some of the most common questions we receive from instructors regarding free courses.

Is there any difference between a free and paid course? 

Yes, the free courses on Enrolkart give students a simplified learning experience. This simplified experience limits the functionality available in a free course compared to a paid course.  For all Free courses even if includes any paid material, Enrolkart does not offer a certificate of completion for free courses. Additional course features such as Q&A and direct messaging (even if enabled by the instructor) are not included with free course registrations.

In addition, all free courses published after November 12, 2020, must have a total duration of less than 1 hour of the video course.

What are the requirements to create a free course on Enrolkart? 

The minimum requirements for publishing a free course are the same as for a paid course, except that all free courses published after November 12, 2020, must have a video length of fewer than 2 hours.

 Can I change my course from free to paid or vice versa? 

Yes, you can do it.  A course can go from free to paid once. If the course changes from free to paid and becomes free again (or vice versa) after the course has been published, promotional ads for the course will be permanently disabled, all related earnings may affect. So thoughtfully take a step once.

How can I change a course from free to paid? 

To change a course from free to paid, go to your account, you can make changes there.

Can I charge a price for my course on Enrolkart but offer it for free elsewhere? 

No. This is strictly prohibited. Paid Courses of your on Enrolkart cannot be offered for free outside of Enrolkart (e.g., your site, other sites). If found to do so, you will receive a first warning email to correct in a stipulated period.
